...all right, that's it. I am intruding on this thread out of strikes.

It is a strikingly convenient coincidence that the path which Mordred is taking towards the kids' cottage also happens to be the one which Justitia is taking back up to the adults' (...well, chronologically, if not mentally) cottage. He comes out from behind a cluster of trees, whistling lightly, and stops when he sees Mordred, smiling. "Good morning."

"Morning, you," coming to meet him. "Where've you been?"

"Nowhere in particular," and he greets him with a quick kiss, as well. "Just walking."

"Early bird," leaning on him for a moment.

[blind_judgment]

"I slept well last night," he replies with a grin and a poke in the ribs.

"I'm glad someone did," with a lugubrious sigh.

[blind_judgment]

He responds with a sympathetic quirk of the lips. "What is it now?"

"Uh-oh."

[blind_judgment]

"Uh-oh what?"

[illgotten]

"Too many disasters have broken your sense of humor," with a tug at his hair.

He pulls his head away, grimacing slightly. "As opposed to the previously held belief, which is that I never had one to begin with."
