youre joking right? my venezuelan coworker gave the guy a hard time for it asking why he charged gringos more and the owner of the shop told him that the guy was going to change the other price but got interrupted and had to work on something else. yeah sure. latino racism against whites or 'americans' as they call us is pretty common in miami particularly hialeah so it doesnt surprise me in the least. it was just interesting that there was an opportunity to take a picture of it in action with my blackberry.
If it's authentic, which I tend to doubt, there's always a very simple solution: Don't do business with them. That's how this whole free market thing works.
oh its authentic. i know cuz i took the pic myself at lunch and yes i dont my coworker will ever do business with this guy again. he was have a quad (atv) engine rebuilt and the guy kept putting it off over and over telling him to come back the next day until he got pissed, told him to eff off and took it to someone else. of course i was more ticked off by the blatant display of racism which is why i took the pic. it boiled my blood enough where i almost wanted to track down some white supremacist website to post it on with the address to get someone to do something about it because the cops here wont do a damn thing because they dont care.
The cops probably won't do anything about it because they're not doing anything illegal. It's not as though the sign says that certain people have to pay $50 and certain people have to pay $20. It conveys conflicting messages in two different languages. Legally, anyone can walk in there and hold them to $20 no matter what language they speak.
