Employers make about 300% profit (at least) from hiring illegal aliens. Maybe if these "poor elitest employers" would pay laborers fair wages, then maybe Americans would take the jobs. -And don't try and tell me that the savings get passed onto the consumers. Just look at what's happening with China. Those greedy corporate bastards are making a killing! If they can have slave labor working for ten cents a day, then I should be able to pay ten cents for a bottle of wine here in in the states.
Sorry let me clarify. If the employer pays wages that would entice US citizens to come work the fields do you think that they employer would bear the increased labor costs and let their profit suffer or would they pass the increased labor costs on to the consumer?
Do you remember the Reagan years when immigration first became a problem? Meatpackers in Wisconsin went on strike because they weren't getting fair wages. The meatpacking company fired them all and gave the jobs to illegals. It's not as if ham suddenly became more affordable; people could go to the supermarket and buy it when Americans worked the jobs. Reagan the antilabor union breaker let them all in and there went our manufacturing

It won't be capitalism anymore if we turn into a country of very rich and very poor working for less than minimum wage. I've been hearing conspiracy theories that we could become a 'welfare state', kind of like communism. I joke around and call it a corporate feudal system! X-D Oh wait, that's not funny..
Your average hard-working middle class person has been able to afford to feed his family long before illegal immigration became a problem. Anyway, I heard that the price of food is going up regardless because of being turned into an alternative fuel source.
We hard-working middle-class consumers always get the shaft. I always watch out for the sales because once and a while, I'll see a gallon of milk on sale for $3. -But at least I can afford it because illegals haven't destroyed my craft yet.
I would be willing to pay as much as it would take to get the illegals out and preserve my way of life. Illegals have been destroying crafts by undercutting wages for decades. My grandfather supported a wife and three kids with his meatpacking job and he lived in a nice, two story house in the suburbs! Could a worker do that today?

I'm just too angry for sob stories right now.

Doesn't it go without saying that they will not allow decreased profits even if their costs increase?
So the ultimate question is how much more are you willing to pay to eat?
