Sorry for the delays with blogging, between my usual timetable and then getting a respiratory infection I've not been blogging as much as I should.
Saturday 26th December
Hamilton New Jersey to Philadelphia Pennsylvania, USA
What had intended to be a day to go site seeing in Philladelphia turned instead into a very lazy day, gaming, watching TV and waiting for Dog to wake up. Not that this was going to stop our only solidified plan.. heading to
Fogo de Chao with @Heslin.
So off we popped and drove through the rain to another state for dinner. For an Australian this is a positively hilarious concept where going to another state generally requires driving 1000km through the country.
We did manage to get ourselves lost in one of the ridiculous North/South freeways though; but this is where I learnt just how awesome the Google Maps directions function is. Even without constant net access and on awful roaming American phone reception it found us, diverted us and tracked our progress the whole way. In the end we were only a few minutes late.

Fogo de Chao is an excellent churrascaria in Philadelphia. If you're not familiar with the concept it 's a form of Brazillian steakhouse where meat is spit roasted and carved table side, generally with an all you can eat bent. There'll be an eventual review on Goth Gourmande but nonetheless this was a marvellous choice for dinner and a great night out. Possibly supported by an excellent wine list *cough*
