It was the best concert I'll ever see, thats for sure. The whole concert, in fact, was great. Here are are some of the bands they had there
Mogwai: They pretty much played the same thing over and over, but gained intensity. Then when it got crazy they just bust out some Sonic Youth-like sound sessions. Really nifty
Head Automatica: Pretty fun to watch live, but their songs all kinda blurred together, which wasn't too nice.
The Rapture: Didn't like them as much, but I could see how some people could like them
Interpol: They were just amazing. Really great band, and they played well. They didn't add a lot of "live-ness" that some bands do to songs, which made me not like them as much.
Cursive: Didn't like this band at all
The Cure; Wow, they were crazy. They opened with Plainsong, and they just did all these great songs. Robert Smith played a lot of songs that were amazing. Here are the standout songs:
Pornography:
One Hundred Years
A Short Term Effect
The Figurehead
Disintegration:
Plainsong
Fascination Street
Pictures of You
Love Song
Japanese Whispers
Lets Go To Bed
Lovecats (yes, they played Lovecats!)
Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me
Why Can't I Be You?
A song I forgot :( Its definitely from KMKMKM though
Head on the Door:
A Night Like This (live, they don't play it with that saxophone solo like the recording. This makes it a bajillion times better)
Close to Me
The Cure;
Alt.end
The End of the World
They played more from their new album, but since I haven't listened to it enough to know what they played, I can't tell you. But yeah, A Night Like This is amazing, if anyone has MSN messenger, I could send you a live version that they recorded earlier.
