I guess it's just another, I guess it's just another night alone

luckily there are things in this world that can calm a beast such as myself. Marshall Hooper songs, especially "pink buffalo", are always soothing.

"my dad thinks she looks like an indian
she's got long dark brown hair and soft dark golden skin
if you saw her then you might think she was an indian too
if you saw her then you might fall in love with her too
and I just want to be a pink buffalo
she'll hunt me down and shoot me with cupid's bow and arrow
and i just want to be a pink buffalo
she'll hung me down and shoot me with cupid's bow and arrow (oh whoa)"

this life of mine is crazed. crazed I tell you. Saturday I worked 10.5 hours, sunday 18 hrs and monday another 8... and so on with 8's until it's thursday and I have time off until saturday morning when it's back to work, construction all day, hotel at night, and then construction all day sunday. that'll end up being like 30 hours of work right that, maybe even more. ugh. work work work work work. I'm putting in like 60 hours a week between my two jobs right now, and somehow I finally feel like things are starting to get under control. I'm sure it has to do with the fact that work is keeping me from partying 7 days a week, which I've been known to do (ugh, now that's what I call a lot of work, 7 straight days of partying).

I'm beginning to find answers to the questions in my mind, and it gives me strength and peace to know that I'm moving in the right direction. It feels good to know that although I may have wasted the last 2 years, it has not all been for naught. And when I say I wasted the last 2 years I dont mean that they have been a waste, but for the most part the last 2 years have done nothing to get me any closer to where I want to be with my life. I suppose I would classify them as a side-track on the discussion that is life. Much goodness has found it's way into my life, through me, my friends, random acquaintences, and of course from the collective energy that controls the every movement on this earth. movement. energy.

and so I have found my happiness-mobile, and it is myself. Depression is an angry monster, and I believe I am close to slaying that beast. The beast I found wrenched around my neck long ago is now little more than a pesky horse fly.
