reflections of a year gone by, 2006-07

Jun 17, 2007 22:48

i recall claiming about this time last year i was 'clinging on for the ride of my life'.
a year thereafter, my grasp has yet to yield, as i reach for the motion sickness pills with one hand!

stuck in a rut moments
- wishing all my uni friends were back under one roof. (i miss these guys so much!)
- utter failure to control my intoxication levels to the brink of vomit.
- work, need i say more?
- forgetting to blog those unforgettable classic moments.
- failure to keep my relationship intact.
- seeing my grand parents look frail.
- showing signs of weakness.
- not knowing what's on their mind.
- deleting an email account, and throwing half your life away accidentally.
- two minute noodle packs cooked in six minutes flat (inefficiency at its best!)
- learning the notion of how i can change those around me.
- succumbing to regrets.

a tide of blissful events
- apple macbook pro
- became a university academic, lecturing+tutoring design.
- standing applause from my students!
- late night episodes of the tipsy kind.
- nintendo wii + xbox 360 babies in my mittens.
- wii nights at rowey's that end at 3am.
- a big arse, sleek A3 wacom graphics tablet.
- using a pantone marker to write a long message on a roll of toilet paper.
- unintentional slumber parties
- blind drunk for the first time, two day hangover.
- engagement parties, free food+drinks!
- attempting to sink a boat or two whilst kayaking in manly.
- seeing a design buddy graduate design.
- discovering mango pancakes at yumcha.
- expanding my yumcha experience two-fold, by taking a chance with a variety of dishes.
- the unexplainable feeling when you really want something.
- having conversations with my sister.
- helping a buddy move into a new place, and trying to move 5 trolleys of ikea furniture to the checkout.
- having that smug feeling, knowing that life is one unexplainable ride of a lifetime.

two drinks to oneself for a year worthwhile!

note to oneself:
blog more!

memo to all:
the text on this page looks screwed for the 95% of those on pc's,
get a mac and thrive in the glory of aesthetic beauty!
