whadda I got to do to wake ya up, to shake ya up, to break the structure up

I hate the way popular "musicians" are suddenly encouraging sexual decency. For instance, Gwen Stefani claiming she "ain't no holla back girl," Trick Daddy dedicating his song to "all the nice, clean, decent women" at the start of his latest hit "Sugar," or Ciara who makes it clearly known that her "goodies" stay in the jar. Have they finally developed some moral standards or are they just looking to spread their STDs and not receive? Eh, I've got my money on the latter. It's gross. But now if everyone cared about the things I do, we’d have a very uptight world. Ha

I need balance, a balance among friends, family, and God. My goodness this is what I’ve been struggling with for roughly a year now I believe. I brought it up during confession and was advised to pray about it. So I did for a while then got distracted. Go figure. I’m off balanced again. I can’t remember the last time I really prayed and felt it. I can’t remember the last time I gave my parents a heartfelt “I love you.” And I can’t remember the last time I had a really deep conversation with one of my close girlfriends. Now I can remember the last time I studied obsessively, spent quality time with Haley, hacer yoga lol, or shared a beautiful Sunday afternoon with James; all of which are important to me, and I don’t have any intentions on altering them. But maybe I should, to make room for the things I need to do, but may not necessarily want to? Gosh it’s so awfully hard not to be focused on just the great, fun tasks but to also incorporate the other necessities. I’m not trying to be cheesy here, but a balance is so important for a healthy life. I guess I’m not emotionally healthy.

I love/respect/appreciate James so much; my parents think too much. I don't act like an immature teenager so there is absolutely no need to treat me like one. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t see him enough, and I’m pretty sure he feels the same way. I just don’t understand why they want to suppress me like they do. It’s so hard to be away from him as it is. All I want to do is cuddle up beside him late at night in his cozy bed, fight about the TV, comically serenade each other with lyrics from “Dyer maker,” then kiss him goodnight. I just want to fall asleep in his arms, even if it’s only once- for now anyway ;) That’s not too much to ask for... I’ll fight for James. They can’t make me fall out of love with him. I’ve never been so sure of anything.

Why am I suddenly thoroughly enjoying horror flicks? Lol It wasn’t until I ascertained James avidly opposed them that I started to question why I like them so much. A freakish obsession? I think it’s just a preference. For some reason I like that feeling of vulnerability I get when I’m scared. Sometimes I get paranoid for a while after and I have to build myself back up again... and well that’s always entertaining. I may regret this post later, but I think there is something so intriguing and sexy about the villain in a movie. First of all they are usually the best actors, I mean, don’t you hate their guts by the end of the movie? Exactly, they’ve done their job well. Anyway, I wish I could act because I would totally LOVE to play the bad guy.

Check out my English teacher Mrs. Wagg, the woman who taught me to be proud of a B-. Okay, with grades aside, I might secretly admire her...
