I have never been more upset in my life.
We did amazing at the one acts.
Like.. blew myself away amazing.
They scoring is out of 300..
The bottom scorers were like.. 127.. 152.. then 229 or something..
We were 298.
MCI was 299.
Winthrop 300.
Yarmoth 303.. I think.
I dont know how they got 303, but they did.
I have never even heard of scores THAT FUCKING CLOSE.
We didn't even fucking place.
WE DID SO FUCKING GOOD.
I bawled my eyes out the whole way home.
One of the judges came on the bus and personally was something like "you guys really were amazing. I don't know how this judging works but in some ways it doesnt."
I just couldn't believe it.
No one liked MCI's play, they said it was dry and boring.
IT TOOK PLACE IN THE 1800S.
And yarmouths play, while it had good acting.. WAS A FUCKING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PLAY.
ITS NOT HARD TO PRETEND TO BE A PANDA.
IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH ACTING STRAIN.
To fuckin DIE on stage, to fucking have EMOTION to your scene other than "ZOMFG. IM A SHEEP. BACK OFF PANDAS" takes FUCKING ACTING.
And all winthrop did was SCREAM.
It's called STAGE. TALKING.
NOT STAGE BEING-STUPIDLY-LOUD-AND-ANNOYING-AND-DITCHING-YOUR-TECH-TIME-AND-ADDING-IT-TO-THE-BEGINNING-OF-YOUR-PLAY-INSTEAD.
