I don't really have anything exciting to share. Just taking a break from work for a moment. For someone who doesn't have enough mulah, I'm sure busy as hell. Mr. Ilke and I are in a tight spot (like everyone, it seems) and for the first time in years are looking toward both of us having full time jobs. I mean, I occasionally work 40, or even 50 or 60, hours in a week, but as a freelancer, its not steady. I only NEED to work about 25 hrs a week, providing its every week. And therein lies the problem (jeez - I so didn't intend to talk about work or money). Anyway, its a big shift and I'm scared, but really hoping for some relief.

Funny thing, chaos. With life being kinda nuts right now, I find myself DESPERATE for order. You should see the lists:

Friday Is Chores Day: A list of all the chores to be done on Fridays
An Ideal Day: An example schedule of what a day would look like in my eveything-is-great life
A Luca Day: An example schedule of when Luca should eat, sleep, how much, story time, bath, etc.
Work To Do: self explanatory
Sell It List: A list of stuff to sell on craigslist or ebay. (I *still* have hundreds of dollars worth of breastfeeding stuff to sell. meh.)
Clean It List: House projects
Plants To Plant, Books To Read, and so on and so on.

I have a paper collection. I'm a designer. It happens. I also have an intense need to simplify (see above). And a need for mulah. Keep thinking I should do something industrious with my collection other than let it collect dust. Ah, but I don't have time. Time is becoming the "t" word. A bad word. Don't care for this turn of events.

Oh! I know... we took Luca swimming. We've been doing a LOT of swimming. I love it, Mr. Ilke seems to be a fan, and Luca loves it too! I have a water baby! Hurrah! I don't know what I would have done if he hated water. He goes underwater and splashes somethign fierce! It's awesome. We go to a pool with a huge waterslide. Dudes. I went on a waterslide for the first time in 15 or 20 years. <3

My kid is 9 months old. He's cruising. Says mama and dada and a whole bunch of other gobbledeegook. He sleeps with us in our bed and gah! its so precious the way he suggles up. oooooohkaythenshuttingupnow.

So, in summary: Money is non-existent tight, work is excrutiating tough, but we're still hanging in there and managing to have a bit of fun.

(Sometime, I'd like to have a discussion about living responsibly, or within your means...)
