A Love Story by the Sea for dynonugget
And it was nominated for Best Romance (under 6000 words) and Best Heart-Wrenching/Angst (under 6000 words) at the dramione_awards which is in the seconding phase right now!
This is a huge shout out to eevilalice who beta'd alpha'd this story and was completely fantastic and brilliant. The experience of working with her just on this one thing had a huge impact on me as a writer, and I am positive that I will be better for it. THANK YOU EEVILACLICE!!!
I am going to start posting this on GE, but the full story is here at dmhgficexchange.
NOTE: The version I am going to be posting on GE will differ a bit in the sex scenes (pending dynonugget's approval). After posting it, I revised it so the smut was *gasp* less smutty. Just fits better with the lyrical style. Oh and I totally smiled at hearing that a number of people guessed it was mine right off the bat. Dyno herself emailed me when it posted and tried to *subtly* find out if I wrote it. lol. I evaded, of course, and she finally asked me point blank. lol. It was a riot. :) Well, that was my first exchange, I haven't even read a fifth of all the stories posted, so I have a lot of reading to do, but in all it was a tremendous (and patience-inducing) experience. 119 stories!!!! 119!
And speaking of dramione_awards nominations, the kick-fucking-ass story that was written for me, Memories of Peace by miyabita13, who PINCH-HIT that peice of brilliance, was also nominated. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it.
Seconding was extended to December 22nd (I think), but in case I'm wrong, it's December 15. If you want to second either of these stories (or any of the many awesome stories nominated), you can do that HERE. :)
Claiming Hermione update: I've written the entire skelton of the next chapter and even a bit of the next. It's almost 2000 words and I haven't gotten into detail, language, dialogue, etc. Meaning? It's going to be a long chapter (don't hold me to it, but I'd guess 6000 words). I don't want to split into two chapters though, unless during the writing it seems very clear to do that. But I doubt it. I am *hoping* to have it up early this weekend.
