Honors Banquet
Tonight was the Honors Banquet at school. It is done each year to award scholarships and recognize those with GPAs of 3.3 and above. I managed to get into the High Honors category this year, thanks to a session of summer school and working hard durinng first semester. High Honors is those with 3.7 and above. I was surprised at that. And guess what? I was awarded 2 scholarships, which total to $1500. I was really excited. It came as a shock to everyone because the people don't inform who gets a scholarship beforehand. If I had known, I think I would have tried to dress better. I wore jeans and a nice button down shirt. With chucks and my studded bracelets of course. And my friend Jessica also won one of the $1000 scholarships as well. I'm really happy for her. Okay going away now....
