What a beautiful day for a walk :D
Walked through the Berkeley Farmer's Market today, lots of little stands selling their organic produce. Picked out a few for checking out later: a stand selling specialty olive oil, another with lots of different mushrooms, bread, some selling really tasty-looking fruit, and some other ones selling lunch. Next Saturday?
Took the bus..overheard some high school students venting about their cross-country coach. He never praises them even though they've done well. Remember those days of track. Can't imagine what it would be like with a practical Nazi as a coach.
Stopped by REI in North Berkeley...gonna finally fix my bike tires now.
Then walked from REI to 99 Ranch (lol why? just cuz). Walked through University Village. I had heard of it (the 52L used to have that on its destination banner) but have never seen it. Was surprised that it was really nice; looks like the places in Alameda, with lots of families out and about today. Walked by that mysterious Albany Hill...just an isolated , mostly untouched rock that's next to the bay, just a bunch of trees though, not even a view at the top so decided not to scale it.
Discovered that 99 Ranch doesn't have the tea I use to make milk tea (Rickshaw) :( :( :( Picked up some other goodies though.
Faced a small dilemma: whether to take the 52L towards El Cerrito BART or to cross the street and take it directly back to Berkeley. Decided to go to BART; used up my tiny $1.40 ticket.
Destinations weren't as important as much as enjoying the sunny sky and fresh air along the way :D
