The Price is Right was one of my favorite game shows as a child. Mostly because it had a lot of pretty colors and the players got to do cool things like release wooden disks at the top of a very large pegged board and then watch it go all the way down. It was a freaking large board cause I remember that they had to climb stairs to get to the top. Unfortunately, I do not think I can watch this show anymore. I tuned in yesterday and at first everything was normal. Anna and I watched a recent college graduate, who majored in political science and anthropology to Anna's delight (he wasn't bad looking either), try to win a car. He failed which was probably a good thing since he was currently living in a bus that ran off of vegetable oil (not really sure if it was vegetable oil, but it was something similar to that). It was amusing cause he mentioned the environmental crusade and then Bob was like well now you can win a new car! Then a blonde woman came into my Price is Right life. At first she was like any other contestant, really happy and nervous. She lost the first game which made her a little sad; as a result, I felt badly for her. Then she spun the wheel and won and we were both very gleeful. Finally in the showcase, she was very nervous and agitated. She made her bid and waited to find out the results. The other woman in the showcase was under her price by about $5000. My woman was under by around $10,000 and I thought she had overbid. The other woman won and my woman looked so sad and dejected because she hadn't won a single thing. I do not think I can take any more of these overwhelming emotions; I almost cried for the poor lady. AND there was no wooden, gigantic disk game!
