I got tagged by pyro_monkey17 So here we go, a meme about me and my rpg endeavors.
1. How about a brief introduction?
Allison, hi! This be my journal and my Doctor/Donna theme and my Nintendo DS and my stuffed animals, basically all stuff you see here is MINE!
2. What got you into role playing?
I've been into role playing for years, I'm not exactly sure what got me into it to start off with, one thinks it was the end of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and fan fiction.
3. What kind of games do you tend to be drawn to?
Mostly games based around a specific fandom, I like having set rules and backgrounds I can work with. At the moment the ones that hold my interest are Heroes and Buffy/Angelverse related I'm also in a sci-fi space game though while more on the original side but has basis in the movie Sunshine.
4. Which one of your muses fan favorite and why do you think people think so?
Fan favourite would have to be my favourite as well, Heidi Petrelli from Heroes. I like Heidi because she's very much a secondary, sometimes not even that on Heroes and I knew she could be better if they allowed her more screen time so I strengthened her up and made her an empath, it's all good. Why do people like her? I think she's easy to relate to - she speaks her mind, puts her family first and doesn't shy away from trouble.
5. What post/thread are you most proud of?
That is a flipping hard question! I've done so many terrific threads with some of the best writers ever. What comes to mind at the moment would have to be the first Christy/Eddie thread at Electus Trucido and at String Theory Daniel, Heidi and Kasie (Who we try not to speak of because she's a whiny bitch) facing off against Sylar. Loved that one.
6. Do you find writing easy? Hard? What aspects do you struggle with?
I find writing...medium. I can write but I have bad grammar and I don't go into detail as much as I would like. Something that also limits me is that I generally play a good guy, I'm not bad guy material. I'm not into horror movies, I despise gore, it's just not me so I doubt I can write it.
7. Do you tend to use the same PB again and again? Is the character different each time, or the same one tweaked slightly to for each game?
Yes I do tend to use the same PB at the moment it is Katie Cassidy, I saw her on Supernatural and just kind of fell in love with her. For ST I use her as a cop named Ashley Byrne and For ET I use her as a witch vampire named Christy. As you'll see they're quite different.
8. Write a few sentences on your favorite muse or pairing.
Like I said up a bit my favourite is Heidi so let's talk about some of my other characters.
String Theory
Sarah Walker (Miley Cyrus) I love, she's so cute and bouncy and has the power of aquakinesis and is of course cousin to Molly Walker.
The Petrelli Boys, Simon & Monty - Yes my boys, I play both of them I seem to go towards family lines a lot which is terribly fun actually. Simon and Monty were aged up for String Theory and in the Five Years Gone verse they are played by Jake Richardson and Mitchel Musso.
Will Yates - A conjurer of items out of thin air, I adore his power. He's from an alternate universe and has a daughter named Sadie and a grandson named Rex, he is also good friends with the Petrellis (What? My characters like each other! Deal!). Will is portrayed by David Tennant.
Ashley Byrne (Katie Cassidy) is one of my newer characters there, she was originally brought in for the cultist plot and has made quite a nice place for herself at ST, with partner/boyfriend Daniel and cousin Damian.
I play three other canon characters at String Theory: Matt Parkman, Takezo Kensei and Micah Sanders.
Electus Trucido
Christy, Lucas and Evelyn Kennedy - Yes see? Family line again. I just can't help it I love family lines, perhaps even more than I do shippy lines. Evie and Christy are witches (Christy now a vampire) and cousin Lucas is a half demon. I haven't played much with him yet but I'm going to get to him. They are portrayed by Katie Cassidy, Ed Westick and Elizabeth Perkins.
Favourite Pairings
I've been in a few pairings but I stress they don't always have to be about sexins. Here are some of my favourites:
Heidi Petrelli/Daniel Balthazar - Before you go all 'omgz! Heidi had an affair?!' Nathan was dead at the time so *shrug* They were cute together, sure she was older than him and he was Mr. Crazycakes but it worked. Plus he rocked on his feet which is still to this day one of the cutest things ever.
Jolene Calhoun/Will Yates - Ah yes, a love that spanned dimensions and played so that their PBs were David Tennant and Billie Piper (Yes that was done on purpose) Will came to this world only to find a younger version of the wife he had left behind so many years ago, naturally conflict arose, it made for great fun.
Ashley Byrne/Daniel Balthazar - Originally Ashley was brought in as a distraction from Daniel's break up with Heidi but I'm glad that she took on a life of her own and found some chemistry with Daniel. They're relationship is sweet, it's not all sex all the time they are both independent people but fit together nicely as well.
Peter Petrelli/Niki Sanders - Okay I had no part in writing them but the people who do totally made me a shipper. They're just so kick ass together like they would be if they were an actual couple on the show.

Christy Kennedy/Eddie Toloni - Ahh a recent favourite the vampire and the human witch. They were just going to be buddies when they started out but they got all Romeo and Juliet and sort of romantical and I just went aww over them. That's them in my icon, Christy played by Katie Cassidy and Eddie played by Frank Iero.
9. Do you have any big pet peeves when it comes to RP?
Cockhopping - Basically when someone makes up a character in order just to get sexytime from someone else. There is no real personality there more just 'omgz sex me nao' it's wrong.
Bad Spelling - Now I know I'm not the best speller and people are allowed to make mistakes but I have actually come across a person who words can't begin to describe how bad they were at spelling. See if you use firefox you get a red dotted line under words, take note of that! And plus http://www.dictionary.com is a magical place, use it!
10. Are you guilty of any of the pet peeves you hate?
Perhaps my biggest pet peeve about myself would have to be that I'm not as descriptive as I could be, I need to work on that.
11. What was the first game you joined? Fandom,Original, or Celeb?
The very first game I believed I joined was on blurty called The Big Easy - Buffy related set in New Orleans obviously, after that another heavily Buffy related one called The Dark Ages. That game owned me but because of creator disagreements it closed, that experience put me off rping for a long time.
12. Name your favorite muse and what it is about them that you love to write.
I shall name three muses, the Petrelli Family - Heidi, Simon and Monty. As I said I like family lines, I like the boys fighting and mum having to break it up, I love how they leap to each other's defense where they're in trouble, that sort of thing.
13. What would you call your writing style?
What would I call my writing style? Humourous, upbeat, I like to make people laugh. I'm not really what you would call an emo writer but I certainly admire those who are. I'm so romantic comedy/family movie girl.
14. Do you have a set group of people you tend to RP with? If so, what is it about them that makes you stick around? Indeed yes my String Theory homies! (See I said homies again!)They are the most wonderful people to work with and smart, they know what they are talking about. I get to a point sometimes where I get terribly miserable if I don't talk to them. Also we're rp elitists, we don't put up with stupid people or those we feel have wronged us, that's happened a couple of times and yeah we're better off without them.
15. Name one thing/character you'd love to write/pick up but have been too afraid or shy to do. Um...*ponders* Claire Bennet perhaps?
16. Do you feel uncomfortable taking criticism? Or worse, do you have the dreaded bloated ego?
Sometimes I feel uncomfortable with it, I'm generally not too bad and I'm always willing to better myself when it comes to writing.
17. When you write, is there anything that helps?
Music helps a lot and maybe reading some old threads.
18. What inspires you?
Television shows, music, dreams are quite inspiring too.
19. Lastly, how would you sum up your RP experiences and you as a writer? Well in days of old it was good, then it was bad then I found String Theory - Somewhere where I belong *group hug!*
