2010 - A Year In Review
Let's see, 2010.
Actually it's been quite a good year: I finished my retail course, made some awesome new friends through Camp Halfblood, Bone Temps and New Frontiers and yet I feel like I haven't RPed enough this year. My first resolution is to rectify this, more RP!!!
I read a lot of books this year and that is big for me because I don't read that much. This year I read all the books in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series (Which was epic and awesome). The argument people have about the movie being crap: It wasn't really, if they had included everything in the book that movie would have been five hours long. What they did with the time was good and I believe it was perfectly cast.
So I made sure that I finished the last book to coincide with the release of which I read and I thought was AWESOME! Only the next book doesn't come out until October D:
At the same time because I was/am reading The Red Pyramid. I like it a lot, it reminds me of Stargate.
Television-wise I'm still broken up about Heroes. I could have written that last season just so much better, not to mention fix that glaring plot hole they had concerning Nathan and Sylar!Nathan. I could have fixed that goood.
But it is okay, I have other shows to keep me warm at night like White Collar, Covert Affairs and Hawaii Five-O (*giggles* Yes, I like cop shows.) As for Glee? Ehh...I think I'm kind of over it. I know it's horrible to say, I still really enjoy the music and some of the episodes are good still but some aspects make me kind of cringe.
Let's see, what else? Christmas was good, got some nice things a new DSi, Epic Mickey for the Wii, a bunch of awesome movies/tv shows and that's about it really.
Some of my beloved internet friends are going through hardships, my heart goes out to them and I want to help but there is nothing I can do, it's frustrating. *sigh*
I have been pretty awesome icon-wise this year but not fic wise. Second resolution: Write more fic!
I took control of daily_miley but I've been horrid at keeping up with it. Starting tomorrow I'm gonna update it everyday, promise!
I'm seriously going to have to try and lose weight. Starting tomorrow, exercise exercise exercise!
And I suppose I should try getting my driver's licence too, yes I know I'm lame for not having it yet but I don't really have a car to drive so yeah, that is why I don't have one.
So that was me ranting about my year, still awake? Good! It's New Year's Eve! Come party with me and spam me for no reason other than you love me :D
Also tomorrow? The 1st in America anyway is my dearest bookishbeth's birthday, I wish her love and good vibes and good presents and stuff. &hearts
