[The comm clicks on and Jack's slightly annoyed and rather confused voice is heard. He sounds like he hasn't slept in days.]

[Kage breathes out a laugh.]

Take it easy, Jack. I asked if you got a drink.

[He's tired and his head hurts. Jack groans in response.]

I think I need one. Then again, that's what I did last time and I wake up like this.

Sounds like you hit th'bottle pretty fuckin' hard. I told you there's some rough guys on board, man. Atch-tch-tch.

[Kage is amused at this.]

Where you gonna get another, man?

[Oh so THAT's what happened. THANKS KAGE.]

No way. I distinctly remember going to bed. Shit. Don't tell me I'm sleep walking or something.

[He's already plotting how to barricade himself in.]

Uh. I dunno. Sergei's?

[He's also freakin' starving.]

Sounds good, man. And you sleepwalk a lot? Shit, man, that's dangerous.

[Kage's already wandering thataways.]

[Jack's dragging himself out of his room and heading to Sergei's]

Not that I recall. Tyler never mentioned it so I dunno.

Yeah? Tyler know your sleep habits?

[Kage steps out of the elevator and heads for the doors of Sergei's.]

We lived together for a while after my condo exploded.

[Flat tone is flat. It's still a touchy subject. Jack arrives a moment later and starts for Sergei's as well.]

[Herz waits at the door, leaning his weight onto the door frame, arms crossed. Jack sounded pretty confused over the comm, but Herz wouldn't let his first impression slide. Drunk or not, he wouldn't be forgetting how the man had treated him.

Its probably the first time the kid was hoping he'd intimidate someone.]

[Kage gets there before Jack and he pauses to brush against Herz before he enters the restaurant.

Hopefully there's something other than that apple-tinged wine to drink, otherwise Kage will be stuck with water. Apples. ugh.]

[Jack approaches cautiously, head down and face still a bit swollen. He's looking around for Kage and catches sight of him walking in. Making to follow, Jack spies Herz waiting by the door and wonders if that's the other guy from the comm.]

Uh... Hi.

[The greeting is offered to the tall man by the door before his attention turns to Kage. His voice is low, tired, like he has a lot on his mind.]

Hey. Thanks for this.

[meinxxherz]

Whoa, wait--w-wait, you're meeting him, too?

[The question's up for either of them to answer, really, and he drives this point home by looking between both of them, head volleying back and forth. Oh, and he doesn't sound very happy about the possibility of it being true.]

Yeah, kiddo. Jack wants a drink. There anythin' in the fridge that I can drink?

[Kage ducks into the kitchen, and to his delight there's a six-pack of beer in the fridge. He grabs it, and a moment later ambles out and hands a can to Jack.]

No sweat, man. Drink up.

[Kage glances back at Herz.]

... you two know each other?

[ilikesoap]

[Jack takes the drink and nods in thanks before looking over to Herz. Was this the guy from the comm?]

Hang on a second. You're Herz? Sorry, I didn't recognize you.

[He's noticed the change in the boy's manner and is feeling a little cautious. What the hell went on the other night? Jack glances to Kage.]

He says we met a few days ago. I don't remember a thing about it though.
