So, when you know that you're going out to play harp all day, you should really not go out the night before and fill your tummy with friend pies. Even vegan fried pies. Especially vegan three bean chili fried pies. . . Needless to say, my tummy feels like a rock tumbler today as I enthusastically look forward to a morning of playing harp. Which, brings me to another point. . .
It's difficult to harp without a backup. What do you mean? Well, I used to have a friend come by while I was playing to watch my harp, bike and possessions while I ran off to use the facilities. That way, I could stay properly hydrated and not have to pack up my stuff every couple of hours. Recently I have been flying solo and it's a little more difficult than I anticipated. Especially the part where I have to plan ahead about toiletry usage. I have to make sure that I have all water and any snacks already on me, etc. etc. This being said, if you come by and listen to me play, consider it a great honor that I trust you enough if I run off for a fiver to take a tinkle.
Ugh. Fried pies. Whiffles. Ugh. The food carts are just too damn good.
IN OTHER HARPING NEWS: I am playing at the Port of Portland (airport) during the month of July's Summer Music Program! This means I have ten confirmed gigs for July! Oh. . . my. . . goodness. . . Also, you should check out my website: www.buskerslife.com - I have updated it for July.
