I seriously think I should just summarize all my days in haiku. I'm just going to update everyone on what's been happening to me. First, I will tell you about yesterday.

Went to Canada.
Warm air at medieval faire.
Lots of pretty books.

It was a baronial stepdown. It was too warm. I sat in the sun and nodded off most of the day while the fem-parental and Duncan did their fencing thing. Then, Duncan took me to an esoteric bookstore in Vancouver. I had never been to Vancouver, BC as much as I can remember, and so it overwhelmed me and I want to go back. I didn't get a book or anything because there was just too much intake and I couldn't get my mind to think right and focus on a certain thing to delight in. Duncan promised to bring me back. Now that I know what's there, I will be able to think on things and come to a conclusionatory (That IS a word, according to Halley) decision. I had a great day, all in all, though. I find it fascinating how one minute the road signs say 50mph one minute and then 80km the next. . . amazing.

And now onto today, which was just as endearing, if not more so.

Lights went out today.
Rain beats heavy on the roof.
Autumn now begins.

I woke up this morning to rain, and surprisingly enough, I DID wake up in the morning time. So, it was rainy and windy all morning, and then about noonish, the power went out, but also surprisingly enough, it had nothing to do with the wind/rain. It was because there was a fire in one of the underground vaults on 32nd and the whole island was out from Commercial, to Whidbey. Since all the places in town were closed because they had no lights, we ate in Burlington at Red Robins this evening. I had clam chowder and strawberry lemonade. It was good. Tomorrow is Monday and I have school. I only have one class so it's not really a big deal. I really am enjoying my world religions class, though. Tomorrow night is also fight practice. I am happy about that, too. It gives me a chance to get out of the house, even if I don't do any fighting because Duncan has to work. . .

I need to work on my website. . . I might consider doing it tomorrow. I have some technical problems to deal with that I have already noted, etc but I haven't uploaded because I am lazy.

sca, poetry
