Possibly Insane Season 8 Speculation
So, just watched the Supernatural season 8 Premier for the third time in as many days; this is probably a bad thing because I’m getting very paranoid. I’ve got this niggling fear in the back of my mind and it’s actually not about the boys; okay, yes, I’m paranoid about the boys but I’m ALWAYS paranoid about the boys, so. No, I’m getting the creepy crawlers about Kevin.
So, yes, we need to talk about Kevin. Let’s talk about Kevin.
First time I watched this through, I just loved him and his nerdy surviving self. He’s a likeable character, a bit ditsy and intelligent, who got grabbed by the big bad and not seen for a LONG time before he emerged, amazingly unharmed.
The second time he started to make me nervous. Why was he in that town for six months if not to see his girlfriend? Where did he get the information to be able to ask Sam “You were a hunter when you were my age, right?”? Why is the episode named after a horrorish movie about a teen who kills people with a bow and arrows?
The third time I realized WHY, even with this amount of cuteness:
Kevin was making me nervous.
It’s because nice quirky character, snatched off the board, reintroduced unharmed, yay how lucky?
We’ve seen this before.
Her name’s AVA.

Am I the only one seeing similarities here? Kevin DOES seem more self-efficient, and the holy water trap lends credibility to his story about destroying the demons holding him. But still, I’m kinda scared. YOU WILL NOT PULL THE WOOL OVER MY EYES THIS TIME SHOW (watch, it totally will)!
