SPN: 8x01 Reaction and Recap
Warnings: Uh, I use the crasser term for donkey once? And I’m an atrocious punner. No unaired spoilers. It's long, I went scene by scene.
I've never done one of these before, but hey, beginning of a season seems like a good place to start.

I really loved this episode as well. And loved the bit of Jethro Tull in there. I saw them in concert many moons ago. XD
I just remembered why there’s breaks between seasons, it’s so our hearts can regenerate enough for SPN to dig them out with a rusty spoon again.
Haha...yep they love to do that to us.
Okay, when Sam stabs the demon, did it have vampire teeth for a second!? Or was it just the flash?
Just had to go and run the ep again...lol. He did indeed have pointy teeth! Ooh...so what does that mean? Interesting.
I know some people have issues with discrimination in the show and won’t like Channing’s death, but I just don’t see it. I think they do pretty good; Black, Asian, male, female, child, SPN treats them equally and kills them all. The girls don’t survive? This is Supernatural, y’all. NO ONE SURVIVES.

Kevin. I think he’s a great addition to the show. Both the character and the choice of actor.
I loved the free will comment to Dean. Then again I’ve always loved when Sam stands up to Dean lol. Dean needs to be reminded of a few home truths sometimes and it looks to me as if Dean is going to be needing quite a few reminders of morality and ethics before the season ends. And I imagine Benny is going to be the cause of it.
That said survivalist Dean is pretty awesome....or is that just damn sexy!
I think this whole attitude of Sam is really interesting. It could go so many ways. I’m happy to wait to see where it goes. But it’s difficult to believe that he wouldn’t look for Dean... at all! Then again we know from past experience that Sam doesn’t cope well when he loses Dean. Maybe this time he copes better but to do that he has to shut his past out. Maybe. I’m not convinced. Whatever it is the contrast between Sam and Dean is going to give us some great interaction between them. I approve.
I wonder if Sam did the repairs on the Impala himself? Dean didn’t seem bothered about that, which is surprising...but he didn’t like the doggie smell...which made me laugh!
And Crowley. I'm in two minds about him. I think he's a great adversary. Part of me wanted him to be semi on their side...but having him actually be the enemy is better. It's going to get ugly!

Wuh, really? That is so very cool! Yeah, if it's one thing SPN knows how to do right, it's the music.

This and Ben and the Alpha Vamp's comment that he'd see the Winchesters next season is making me wonder if the Vamps are going to be playing a big role this time around. Haha, one episode and I'm already hurling theories.

We also know from experience that Sam will lie through his teeth if he's doing it for his brother. I can't wait to see what happens.
