My physics lab partner is annoying. He's a spoiled little Indian brat. Bragging about getting into med school, how much money he's going to make, how easy school is, etc. He asks all these small talk questions that make you think he's not a bad guy. Fuck him. He sounds like a snot rag and, from having shitty lab partners before, it sounds like he deserves to be snapped at.

However, you do still need to work with him. So my advice?

Lie.

"Hey douchebag lab partner, sorry if I got a little off the handle last lab. I was just frustrated because *blah blee bloo(Unload real problems onto him or make some up. Doesn't matter which as he apparently won't bother to remember the answers anyway)." The trick with this approach is to be flipping him off in your head the entire time, or imagine feeding his body through a grain thresher, or relishing in the satisfaction that he obviously isn't as amazing as he makes himself out to be because he can't manage to perform adequately in a physics lab.

Being proud and apologizing sucks, but remember that you are the superior person. Doubly superior because you can make this fool think you're sorry even if you aren't.

See, I would just suck it up and brown nose to him, but I'm also chicken shit and no matter what you say, not ever looking him in the eye and speaking sounds a hundred times better than even saying "hey" and pretending nothing happened. I feel like I'll go in tomorrow, determined to take the high road, and just chicken out and stare at my feet.
