I'm tired. In my animal behavior class right now. This semester is kicking my butt.
I got a chinchilla a couple weeks after Chiquita passed, not sure if I've updated since then. Her name is Pixie and she's adorable and super nice. I couldn't live too long without my furry little corprophagies.
And last Tuesday a 9 month old intact male kitten joined my zoo. One of Ben's neighbors had this cat but they would drop him outside for 2-3 days at a time, just totally neglecting him. So Ben snagged him, with the blessing of his landlord. But, Ben has an intact female at home, plus he was worried about these aasholes catching onto their cat in his apartment, so Barthy is at my house.
I tried to quarantine Barthy until I could get him to the vet and tested for FIV/FeLV but Ben thought I was being crazy and would let him out in the middle of the day, gave Darla access to the cat litter and food...ugh, I was not happy. But, got him to the vet Saturday and he's totally healthy. He's adorable, I'm falling in love with him. He's beating up Darla so she's totally on edge now, poor puppy.
Needless to say, I'm overwhelmed. And my veterinary supplemental applications keep coming at the worst times, but I just have to finish my Wisconsin app and I'm done until I get interview requests. I didn't check prerequisites for every school, I figured my 230 undergrad credits should cover it, but Purdue alerted me to a prerequisite that Oakland doesn't offer. I think I can swing it so that if I get accepted to Purdue, then I can register to take this class online and finish it before starting. But I gotta iron out that plan...
And, Friday I got my new iPhone 4s in the mail! I'm freaking out financially. I need some supplemental income that doesn't require any more of my time. Anyone have any ideas? I could try to mend the fences with Kaplan, but that job might make me miserable, and it's like 10 hours a week I'd have to devote to it.
I need to take notes now...haha
