the triumphant return (prelude)

Heading home tonight (tomorrow) during that time in which the days are muddled/conflated/co-mingled. Doubly so since they are undivided by sleep. As an aside, I hate keyboards with a small backspace key. I tried to backspace in that last sentence but all I got was uns\d\\\\. Backspace need to be a double key. I demand it. Despite the complaints of Moses and the Hebrewites, I shall say So let it be written, so let it be done. Not like I have any say in the matter or anything. I'll just keep buying from Apple, as they have shown great dedication to the properly sized backspace key.

To get in on the "Great Mixtape Debate," I would argue that 90min is the canonical mixtape length, as everyone knows that C90 is the only proper tape size. I do only have one actuall mixTAPE, though, so maybe that's not authoritative. And its warbly as all get out. And one song was recorded from cassette to cassette so it has hellacious hiss. So sue me. The 80min running time of the cd is inherently flawed. Oh well. Now that the car has a tape deck, the pendulum may swing back, but it also has aux in, leaving the ipod open as an option. Ah, the great source of the decline of the mix(cd)tape! Maybe when I live with the giant 80's cassette deck again the itch will strike. Silly Arizona, the root of all my problems.

And so the overture begins! Ports of call in New Orleans, Slidell, and Baton Rouge. A teaser, a sampler, an apertif if you will. I will be typing out indigenous poems in airports! Hooray! What a silly final project. But good to have a laptop again. Now it would be even better if I could actually type, but stubby fingers are the bane of my existence.
