Crazy things continue to happen. But first, I'm pretty sure that that thing on my arm last time was a series of 2nd degree burns. Damn if I could get a picture of it though. I went and burned the wrong arm. I can't hold the camera still enough in my left hand to get the picture to come out. After the picture, it got redder and blisterier, but now it's started to heal and does not look nearly as spectacular. But that was last weekend.
This time, besides hanging out with Jennifer, I went on a looting expedition. Since I missed the hurricane, I needed to make up for missing the looting that I now feel is my birthright. So Saturday, my dad and I salvaged some ridge tiles in lakeview for someone we know in Metairie. I guess it isn't looting if you have permission, but the thought was there. The big score of the day was, however, an entirely different procuration. That's right, we are now in possession of the "E" that formerly graced the baseline of Fogelman Arena. We pulled the section of court that contained the "E" of "Tulane" out of the dumpster in front of the building. They're replacing the floor, and we have a 4 foot by 4 foot piece of the old one. With an "e" on it (and part of the "n"). Maybe I'll get a picture next time I go out to the garage. Some loose strips of flooring were also procured, so it's fun for the entire family.
And Sunday we finally put the old warehouse fan on wheels from harbor freight. And the triumph of laziness marches on.
And then today I defrauded my employer out of somewhere between $1.08 and $1.09. I clocked 10 more minutes than I worked. But I was rearranging the storage room, so I'm referring to it as the "Sweat Surcharge." We'll see how that goes over. If indeed it even comes up. Since I only time myself in 10 (or 15) minute increments we're probably about even anyway.
And lest I forget and become sorely remiss in the eyes of the live journal gods--"remember the tag!" (or was it the maine?) only 15 days behind on this shaun
