So, today was really nice for me. I got home from work at around 7:30am, and Mami and I had breakfast together, before starting the preparations for the turkey feast. We spent our morning doing exactly what I knew we were going to do: Watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade on tv while running back to the kitchen periodically to continue making the side dishes and so on and so forth. Tory, unfortunately, was called in to work today, and wouldn't get off work until 8pm, so we postponed our dinner from 4pm to 8:30pm, so that she could enjoy dinner with us.
And then we dined on delicious turkey, compliments of my hotel, spiral-glazed ham, mashed potatoes, cranberry jelly, bread stuffing, peas, rolls, and green beans laced with almonds. BUT NO RAZZLEBERRY DRESSING DAMMIT! I didn't eat myself to the point where I would explode, but I did have a nice half hour nap after dinner, after I washed the dishes, and before I had to go in to work. So now, my manager, Joel, and I are spending Thanksgiving night here at the hotel. And I now have nothing to do besides greeting whoever passes by the front desk and surfing the net. Fun!
Anyways, Tory leaves on Tuesday, and I think my mother is finally realising that she only has a few more days left with my sister, and although she composes herself well, she looks as if she's about to breakdown at any moment and start crying. But I think Tory is far too anxious about leaving to even notice, sadly. She's rushing around the house nowadays, packing her things away, but will leave her room pretty much at my hands to make of it whatever I want. I'll probably just clean it and dress the room up a bit, in case we have any guests over, but leave everything the way it is. Who knows? Tory might come back one day. c:
