so i don't know what i've been doing to keep me away from my lj. being boring i guess? so what's up with me as of late.... not much. i went to video games live a bit back. even competed in their cosplay contest.... you can watch it here! i got fourth btw. it was my first contest so i was rather proud of myself. being a game geek i always watch electric playground and reviews on the run. well the old co=host tommy somethingican'tpronounce is kinda the main guy behind vgl. he really liked my costume and asked me for a hug as well as made the obligatory sexual comment about the swords lol. i think his was somewhere along the lines of me handing the swords off to john when asked for a hug, saying i'd get rid of the pointies so as not to hit him with them. and then a sad face and a 'but what if i like it with the pointies?' well whatever floats your boat sir... all in all a fun night. i have a shit ton of clips i've been wanting to put in a cb. but laziness has me procrastinating and forgetting to put all that shit up.
in other news there was a meet up for the ae gang in stanley park a bit back. it was kind of a flop. but john, izzy and i made it a party on our own. then we went and saw whales at the aquarium. it was fun. and this girl came up and talked to us while we were waiting for the bus. fellow cosplayer. she was dressed as songstress yuna from ffx-2. annnnyway, she was nice and asked me about my costume.
her: "did you make your costume?'
me: 'with help, yes.'
her: 'even the hat?'
me: 'yep yep.'
her to her friend: 'she even made the hat. well of course she did! just gotta rub it in for the rest of us, being all pretty and talented!'
the only reason i mention all of this is because i like being called pretty ♥

lol i like how most of those are of me... i was the only one out of our 3 people that was in costume. also most of those are from john's camera, and he just like taking pictures of me like a creeper. ♥
in other news i dyed my hair.... it's now blond and purple. it's pretty snazzy. kinda make me feel like a pale barbie though. the miyavi concert is drawing closer and my costume is almost all done. the past week has been really slow at work, so it's been frigging deadly as far as tips go. horrid even. i was lucky if i walked out with $20. finally today it picked up. i think it has to do with the local news publishing that we were selling illegal fish. whatever... it's not like it was poisonous. we just bought it from the natives because they're allowed to fish all the halibut they want because of the law here.
i met nikki's new bf. he seems nice. dresses like a douche, but so does she. all that bling and rhinestones, they just aren't my scene. i don't know what it is, but after meeting stan i can't hep but look at the guy and question it. i mean is this the kinda guy that's going to stick around? even when all of nikki's hair falls out and she's in pain and sick from chemo? i'm doubting it, but i hope i'm wrong.
