so as most of you know, i was very upset yesterday, due to the news about nikki. i wasn't doing the best today either, not helped by the fact it was really busy at work. i almost broke down and cried when i heard that stupid lady antebellum song...
i'm not one of those people that cries, screams and has a fit when dealing with this sort of thing. i'm very quiet. i tend to distract myself with video games, reading or writing, those kinds of things. basically yesterday mikiko and i just kinda threw ourselves into an rp we were working a bit on. it was nice, but this morning i woke up with that same sinking feeling.
after i got off work, i was so tired. i just came home and practiced guitar for a bit. john had known i was upset but didn't know why, since i didn't really want to go through it all over txt. he had been at a hockey game with scott, i didn't really want to ruin his evening. anyway, he suggested sushi tonight and met with me after i got out of guitar lessons...
apparently john's solution to making me feel better when i'm down is to buy me a present. the last time i was upset he bought me a stuffed shinx, which is my favorite pokemon, for anyone unaware. this time he bought me the official new moon board game. it made me laugh, and was very sweet. after i got home i showed my mom, i think she was impressed.
me: "john got me a present, since i was so upset yesterday..."
mom: "why were you upset?"
me: "nikki..."
mom: "oh yeah" -looks back to the tv sadly-
me: "he got me the new moon board game."
mom: "oh god!" -chuckles- "that's like getting you a box of kotex!" (tampons)
she's refering to the fact as a man he braved humiliation at carrying such a girly thing about and buying it where people could see. lol apparently he was all too aware of the stares he was getting. they all prolly thought he was gay haha. this of course is made all the more amusing by the fact john has a defined hatred for anything twilight related, making this deed all the more sweet. he's even agreed to play it with me.
