need to make this short, since i should be sleeping. i finaaaalllly replaced that damn gas cap. dad was supposed to pick me up a new one from lordco ages ago, but he never did. yeah yeah, i know i could have done it myself long ago and all that rot. but my dad's a mechani, he knows how to do things at lordco and all that dumb auto shit. plus he has an account discount there since he works for bc transit. but i had fought with that thing for the last time, and apparently if you go there and simply tell them what kind of car you have, they find things for you. so i tried it out after i got home, and yes i can actually get this one off! i'm very pleased.
in other news, i also picked up a hair straightener today. like a real one, not some dumb conair one. the salon i work near was still doing boxing day sale prices so i picked up a really nice tormaline one for about $100. why do you ask am i splurging? well when i went out with olivia she made a comment about how i just had this wallet full of cash, and i realized it was true. i have around $260 in my wallet alone. it was crazy... i dunno, i get it from tips then i never really go out, so i just pack it away.
go a tax check today. am happy... it's like for $108 or something. tomorrow's payday, i still haven't deposited my last check because i'm a mongoloid. but that's just how i roll. least it's not as bad as when i had like 3 or 4 paychecks in my purse. lol.
jfest coming up this saturday. i'm excited. even if it's boring i get to hang out with deanna, lisa and izzy. i don't know why, but izzy's phone apparently hates mine and won't accept any of my text messages. like at all :C i like to imagine it's some bitter feud where one phone killed the other phone's parents and now they're mortal enemies or something. stayed up till like 2 last night watching charlie and the chocolate factory. dunno why, just had the urge to watch it. it's prolly one, if not my top favorite movie of all time. i just love it. my mom was groaning about me watching it, but then admitted she was kinda glad we did, since she was reminded of how great it is. my favorite song is the one about violet XD
random observation about myself for the day: i love to snap my gum. people may find it annoying, no one has ever told me to stop doing it, but im sure there's someone out there that would be pissed at me. but i adore it.
i had also bought a portable hard drive do i can dl and still have enough space. i hooked it up and formatted it and everything. but then i ejected it so i could detach, and it was all cranky and my little haku wouldn't read it anymore. i thought i might have to take it back, like i had fucked it up or something sad like that. so i was pondering it for the past two days, then today i got a security update notice and had to reboot. we now it works fine. guess i just needed a restart. durr i feel like such a tard.
