CHER!

Holy shit!

Last night was fucking fantastic. I can't even describe in words how great that concert was. It was the best thing I have ever seen with my own two eyes. I’m in mourning now because it is over and I will never get to see her again. I want to be her child or personal assistant. All I can say is Cher is the hottest thing since sliced bread and is AMAZING!

So the wonderful journey started bright and early Sunday morning when Josie and her parents came to pick me up at 7am. We headed up to London, while listening to a mixture of O-Town, old school J-Lo and of course the one and only Cher.

We got to London around 11:30 and they took me on a driving tour of Western campus. Oh man it is really pretty, but too big for my liking.

Anyways the funniest thing happened. As we were driving by the music building we were talking about Kevin and how he transferred here. Then all of a sudden Josie goes "there's Kevin" and sure it was he was right there. So we called to him pulled over and chatted for a few minutes. He seemed so confused but it was funny.

Then we went to see Fran. Her residence is really nice too. Then the five of us plus two of Fran’s friends went to the Madarin for lunch. Oh my god…sooooo good....I was so full my stomach was hard and I could not even move. They have so much food it was unbelievable. And the dessert, oh the dessert.

After lunch we went to Cosco, I really want them to build one of those in Belleville or Peterborough. I was going to buy the new Kelly Clarkson cd but decided to save my money for Cher.

After that we went to the hotel to get ready for CHER! We all ended up crashing for an hour. We watched the fresh prince and kind of napped. So then we got into our awesome homemade t-shirts and went to see our idol in person.

It took a while to find a parking space, there were so many people. Fran, Josie and I seemed like the only one's under 30 there, minus a few gay guys we saw. I was disappointed when we didn’t see any transvestites. We only saw one girl dressed up as flapper Cher and that was awesome.

So we finally get in. Waiting in line we had a few people ask us what our sign said and they thought it was funny. For those of you who don't know it said: "IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN BETTER SEATS". We also had one for the Village People who were opening and it said "I LOVE MACHO MEN" but it was really girly looking.

So anyway we get in and I buy an awesome t-shirt and a program full of hot pictures. Then we headed to our seats. Let’s just say it took us 2 escalators to get there. We were in the very top section in the very last row. It was so bad. But the good thing was we were right in the middle so we had very good seats for our situation. We got to see everything and didn't have to worry about people behind us.

Then the fantasticness began.

First the village people: they were so awesome, they played all their well-known songs plus some I didn't know. When they played YMCA I swear everyone in the audience was standing ding the motions. The construction guy was mine and Josie’s mom’s favorite. How old are they? They were busting a move up on that stage like they were 20. Anyways they were so funny and it got the crowed hyped up.

THEN THE MAGIC BEGAN.

Cher came on stage. I thought Josie was going to hyperventilate. She was dying. We were screaming so hard and dancing it was amazing. Her concert was not just singing. It was a fucking production. There was awesome dancing, the background was so cool, there was cirque de solei acrobatics going on and of course all the wonderful costume changes. My favorite was when she descended from the ceiling on a giant chandelier wearing a huge fur coat. It was so hot. She sang, did her magic and there was montages going on during her costume changes. They showed clips from all her movies, from her time with Sonny and some went through her entire career. It was really cool.

So throughout we were either chair dancing or actually up and busting a move. We were singing and screaming and I though I was going to lose my voice. And when 'turn back time' came on we went nuts. We were holding up our sign but it never got on the jumbo screen. Our fucking sign was the best out of all of them and they never showed it once, throughout the entire evening. However, Josie and I are convinced that Cher pointed at us. I know it sounds dumb but our sign was kind of glowing and she could have seen it. Anyways that our story and we are sticking to it. She saved believe for the encore and I was sad to see it end.

Anyways afterwards we dropped Fran off, went back to the hotel and totally crashed.

It was the best day I’ve had in forever. I will never forget it.

If anyone reading this has a chance to see Cher in concert do it, you will not regret it.

IT WAS AWESOME!
