We'll have to agree to disagree. I know you still ship Chlark, and that's fine. But I feel, IMO and in many, many others', that the show has done a great job of showing that Chloe's emotional distance about the relationship with Oliver has gradually and subtly melted away over time. I see a connection on-screen that is organic and deep.
Chloe has historically made big decisions without consulting anyone. She's normally a lone actor. I'm not sure how you can come to your conclusion that "she's just not that into him" because she was going to leave for Star City. You can love someone very, very deeply and still feel like you need to make hard decisions, like leaving. And it's important to note that she never said she was breaking up with him...just that she had to "break the news" about her job and her plan ad that she didn't expect Oliver, as a hero, to leave what he has here behind for her.
One more thing...the woman *traded herself for Oliver* to keep him safe and alive. I don't normally do those sorts of things for my fuck buddies, ya know?
Cos I didn't see it that way-- she had a plan to save Ollie, then fake her death and go underground to get stuff done, which, cos Chloe is awesome, is perfectly fine for me. I'm not saying she doesn't care about him or even love him, and I'll agree that they are more than fuck buddies at this point-- I'm saying I don't think they have shown that she feels like he is her life partner or that they are meant to be together.
