I got the same for my one angst fic... maybe it's accurate? He wrote Fight Club so it can't be all bad?

Can't be bad at all.

I also tried this meme with something I'm working on now and I got Dan Brown *MORTIFIED*

*BEAMS*

Thank you! *clears throat* I also got Dan Brown for my latest piece of writing, which almost made me want to scrap it.

Because I'm a geek, I did a run of these with my favourite fanfic author and she got Edgar Allen Poe and Vladimir Nabokov and other such amazing stuff.

Dan Brown and Chuck Palahniuk seem to be popular answers (as does Stephen King). My guess is they're the examples the Meme has of "modern" authors and since we're all "modern" and write with a "modern" voice then we get the "modern" authors.

That makes a lot of sense and I've noticed by copying and pasting other people's writing that a different style to mine (one with a lot of metaphors and descriptive texts) gets some of the older, more poetic writers.

I got him and Stephen King, mostly. Mostly King, though, which makes me ecstatic because I love him more than any writer.

I wonder if anyone got Stephanie Meyers. And if they would want to live afterward.
