Vampires and stuff...
1) I really want to get behind The Vampire Diaries series. Like really. But the trailer has left me so underwhelmed. The actors are blah, I mean there's something really odd going on with Ian Somerhalder's face. He used to be a good looking guy and now he's just very unattractive.
It's not just me, right?
As for the rest of the cast, they're blah too. There's nothing that makes me sit up and want to watch more. The characters seem to be watered down and the only one that seems remotely interesting to me is Bonnie. I liked her in the little we saw of her. The guy that Stefan is living with seems to be an OC and I think he has some potential but the main three...yeah not feeling it.
2) I am feeling Michael Crichton books though. I've read five over the last week. I don't know why it took me so long to discover him but I absolutely love his use of science to paint a plausible yet scary as hell scenario.
3) Birthdays. A lot of my Flist celebrate birthdays in May and June and I've already missed some so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to h2oprincess , redteekal ,
tigger_01 , kdsch123 and
steefvaniersel.
