Summary: The Guinevere that legend remembers isn't the Guinevere that captured Arthur's heart.
A/N: I'm nervous about this one. It's only 300 words and consists of three drabbles but I have the feeling that the concept might not be popular with everyone but I was compelled to write it.

This line, especially, hit the secret Merlin/Guinevere shipper in me:
Arthur looks at him through lowered lashes, brings the cup to his mouth and drinks. He’s startled by the quiet rage in his voice when he speaks, “she will never be Gwen to you. She will never be Guinevere to me.”
Your last drabble is the most troubling of all. I hope that our Guinevere is remembered for more than being a sad Queen. Even in your brief lines, she shines through in her own right, and she deserves a better ending. :)
Thank you for sharing!

You're a secret Merlin/Gwen shipper? They were extremely cute in the first few episodes whilst Gwen was smitten and he was clueless.
I'm looking forward to seeing how they reconcile this Gwen with the more familiar Guinevere of legend. Maybe they won't and we'll get a different story.

It's an interesting idea you have to explain how the Gwen we see on the show could be linked to the downfall of Camelot. It's not her; it's someone else she unfortunately shares a name with.
I love how you use her name, because you're right, there is something very special about the way Arthur says Guinevere.

Oh boy am I glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. It's one of my favorite things about their scenes.
