1) I am loving Kanye West's
Love Lockdown. I don't care that it's been panned by the critics or that his voice has been auto tuned or that I have no idea what the hell is going down in the video. It's ten million shades of awesome, has a catchy beat and I find some of the lyrics very Chloomy:
Had to run from you
I’m in love with you
But the vibe is wrong
And that haunted me all the way home
And this particular line can be applied to both Chlark (an angsty Chloe-centric fic) and Chloom (no explanation needed):
I can’t keep myself
And still keep you too
2) It's coming up to Halloween and I'm in the mood to read my favourite childhood Halloweeny book;
Count Duckula. I used to adore it and wore out my copies of his adventures years ago. I might have to raid the kids section in the local library to see if I can find any of the books. I'm far too much of a fraidy cat to actually read grown up horror. *shudders at the thought*
I wish I could celebrate Halloween in America. It's much more of a bigger deal in the States then it is here. It tends to get a little overlooked.
3) The Christmas lights are going up around Town and I don't even care that it's only October and far too early. I love this time of year the most. I love the dark nights and the bright lights and the anticipation and all the pretty gifts. I love the air of excitement and even the cold. A few years ago, I was in Germany during December and they had a huge Christmas market on in Frankfurt and I was in heaven. It was so festive and so perfect.
4) I bought a Twist Board today. It claims to slim hips and thighs and tone abs and calves, which means that it's probably no good at all and will end up under my bed with the rest of exercise equipment.
5) I spent an obscene amount of money on clothes yesterday. Clothes that I didn't know I desperately needed. Thank God I'm getting paid on Friday.
