I just had the weirdest dream. I was in my first classroom, and some of my old students were in it - ones that shouldn't be. English 12 standard, and some of them already took it and passed, and one of them was in advanced English. Crazy. But I was talking about some short story with them, and it went pretty well. But apparently that was the first day of school, because the next day my mentor teacher from last semester came in and just took over, started talking to my class in this awfully patronizing way about how I didn't give them a syllabus on the first day. She said I was just starting out, it was a mistake, etc, etc, and it was just really embarrassing. Also frustrating, because what she was doing was going to totally erode my authority. But when I woke up I was really worried that I would actually forget to put a syllabus together for the first day and that I would have to slap one together that night because my students would be like, what the ef, why don't we have a syllabus? Very weird.
Also, I went to bed at 11:30 last night. I set my alarm for 8. I woke up at 3, I woke up at 5, I woke up at 7 and couldn't go back to sleep. This has more or less been the norm for a couple weeks now. I'm seriously tired of this shit, not to mention tired in general. I really, really need sleep.
