Yet another reason to hate America or at least the idiots who run it for no other reason than to make big bucks.

So far the list consists of...

• Religious fanatics
• Voting is not mandatory
• Bush
• Self-centered
• Idiotic people in general live there

And this next one has bugged me for a long time but I'm taking it personally now.

• Americans seeing the need to take everything from other cultures and re-making it.

I'm mainly talking TV shows here, though surely a truck load of other things can apply. Those fuckers at NBC have decided to re-make The IT Crowd. I loooove this show in all its British glory. I wouldn't care as much as I do if it didn't mean that the whole cast has been recast by what I can only assume to be American actors. Every single person... even the production team has been changed, except for the guy who plays Moss. My Gods! I'm getting a Red Dwarf: USA flashback. Whole cast was changed except for Kryten, and that was such a painful thing to watch. I wouldn't care if they had a UK and USA version running simultaneously. But why sacrifice a good British show for what will probably be a shite American version?

I was looking forward to season 2 of The IT Crowd. Not any more.
