...so, yes, I am still here. I just haven't really had too much to write about. But here's a bone or three for you.
On the Super Bowl, that was just a great game. Both teams actually played well, but the Giants played much better. They were the only team to take advantage of the second look, but then they had a much shorter time to retain stuff, so that helped, I think. On the commercial front, on a whole it was better than last year, but there were too many companies spending two million on 30 seconds of airtime and bringing just normal commercials (SalesGenie.com, I'm lookin' at you.) But the old pros all had good ones: Bud Light with the Cavemen, FedEx with the giant pigeons, and Coke with the balloon fight which was by far the best of 'em.
Meanwhile, The Kidnapping, or Black Friday, or whatever they're calling it this week, was a huge disappointment. But then, I was putting hopes into a Lifetime film. Lemme just say, if you're watching because of Senta (like I was, so you don't have to), don't waste your time, really.
Finally, an observation: Have you ever been listening to a piece of music, and all of a sudden, you hear it in a different way, that makes you sort of feel silly for listening it in the way you were? This just happened to me. The lead instrument of the little piece had an overtone that made it sound completely different at very low volumes. And then I turned it up and went...Whoa...that changed the entire tone of the music! It was a surreal experience, lemme tell ya!
