So Evil Elf and I went to the premiere of Goblet of Fire in NYC yesterday. I'm still not quite sure what to say about it. It was fun, I suppose, minus all of the too-close-for-comfort touching. Once the stars started coming it got really hot, sweaty, and hard to breath out there, and it was a cold day.
We were in the second row, and WE had trouble seeing, so I don't know why the people behind us kept trying to push us forward to get a better look; they didn't have a shot at seeing anything anyway. All they achieved was getting Jamie Weylett (Crabbe, not Goyle despite popular belief) sent away from our area because there was too much pushing and security was afraid we would break the barrier down and attack him. Come on, like any of us cared about him enough.
Other people we saw included Katie Leung (Cho Chang), James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George) who i got a pretty nice distant picture of, Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort) who Evil Elf mistook for someone unimportant, like the director, and Rupert Grint (Ron!) who we got really super duper close to (he hugged the girl directly in front of me!) but unfortunately, my arm was just not long enough to get an autograph and who I would have gotten a really good picture of had the girl in front of me not held her autographed paper in front of my camera, blocking his face. I do have about four pictures of his hair, though. Oh, and Literique, he definately doesn't look anything like anyone we know named Shaun, Evil Elf is crazy.
Things I learned from the premiere:
People are scary, Rupert Grint looks WAY better (and shorter) in person, People are scary, Crabbe is super ugly, and surprisingly cocky (even though I was the only one there who knew he wasn't Goyle and Evil Elf was the only one that knew his real name), People are really scary, Rupert Grint either signs his autograph's "Ron", "Poo", or my personal favorite "Easy" (you'll have to judge for yourself when you see the picture),It's weird that we idolize people, because they simply look freaked out by it, and people are REALLY SCARY.
I'll post my pictures later if i can ever figure out how. Most of them are quite bad, but my sister got a really awesome one of Crabbe, it's a shame he's so ugly.
