Unfortunately, it's already getting rather late here, so I don't really have time to post properly. But the big excitement this weekend was the Eurovision Song Contest -- a legendary annual event in this continent, which quite simply has to be seen to be believed. It isn't about actual quality in music, or lyrics, or anything else; rather, it's a celebration of all that is Naff. The only career launched by Eurovision in it's 50-year history was that of Abba (who won for Sweden in 1974, singing "Waterloo"). Occasionally, established singers have also entered, including those of the calibre of Celine Dion (representing Switzerland!?!) and Cliff Richard. Enough said, yes?
At the very least, it deserves a proper write-up, which will, however, have to wait until tomorrow. Anyway, Greece won this year!
