Cold, cold, warm, warm... I HOPE THAT'S STEAM
Engine warmed up in the Hilux, the heater started going warm. I looked out the window, and the entire body of the truck is steaming... It's that cold out there this morning ;) Course, once I'm curled up I don't even notice the cold, mainly because the only part of my body that's showing is my mouth, and that's surrounded with fur :P
Started off with four nights of work this week, now I have six. I've got to start writing down when I have stuff planned so I don't accidentally work those nights, although both contractors I work for are good and will understand if I have over-booked myself. Speaking of which, my cellphone has me being somewhere at 1930 on Monday, 23 June. It is listed simply as "Llama". I need to get more descriptive with these things :P Knowing my habits, whatever it is should be at least half an hour after the alarm goes off. I have this horrible feeling it's something I should be remembering :(
Told the 764 contractor where to shove it on Saturday. He's not particularly well organised, and that coupled with a few other things, including me forgetting or not thinking of something, is making me look like complete ass on his run. So I quit. At 0315. 50km out of Christchurch.
Long story. Short version is that there were no maps and comms stopped giving me directions.
So flatting is now out of the picture, talking with contractors, can occasionally get extra nights out of them. Not the most optimal setup, but it keeps the bills paid. Tempting to file for bankruptcy sometimes, but I refuse to take the easy way out of a hole I've dug myself.
