Going through various job ads, and spotted one for night patrol work in Auckland. I figure with both sets of parents up there I've got a good chance of maybe living in a house again, since I doubt finding somewhere safe to park in the Hilux would be very easy. :P
Anyway, after an hour or so of adding "I do not have the relevant experience or qualifications you desire, but I feel I could quickly learn to adapt to the requirements of the position" I was about to add it to another cover letter when I realised something... I MET ALL THE REQUIREMENTS! Including the two years experience! It was a huge "HOLY SHIT!" moment, like being able to look back at a huge chunk of my life and say "That had a purpose" instead of "Well, at least it was fun, kinda, maybe...". Huge ego boost, I may have to move outside to find more room XD
And earlier today I handed in my notice at Subway. Sat down to write a list of things I was unhappy about, and hit half a page without really having to think too hard. I figured that was a sign that perhaps it wasn't the job not fitting me, but me not fitting the job. A lot of them aren't big huge "RAR EVIL JOB!" stuff, more my nature being at odds with the intentions of other workers.
So I wrote up my notice, and less than ten minutes later the person I thought I wasn't going to be able to talk to about everything walks in the bloody door. I've been waiting since the night I got the big hangover listening to Albonia, and she finally shows up just after I've put my notice up on the board.
Now, the one thing about me that gets me in a lot of shit, but which I refuse to change, is that when I say I'm going to do something, it takes a helluva lot to get me to change my mind. Most of that is because the times I have, I've hurt people badly, and did so again just recently. It doesn't matter if you promise something with every intention of following through, at the end of the day if you break that promise, there is no excuse. There is no way to say sorry.
Dammit, my journal went angsty on me XD Phase two, I find a nice black and red colour scheme and start wearing makeup :3
