black is the new red... or... something...
sooooo, a couple weeks ago we got a new piano in at the shop. pretty standard model and all, except that when i went to tune it, there was something different. wonderfully and sexily different!
evidently kawai has decided to make the switch from red understringing felt to black. blaaaaaaaaahck, dahlings. unfortunately, my comparison photos do little justice to just how sexy and elegant this looks...

and before anyone asks, YES, it DOES make the piano sound better. five in seven deaf rats agree.
seriously, though, no, it doesn't. but it LOOKS so much nicer, i think it's a smart smart marketing maneuver.
