robots and aimee mann!
Real quick I gotta rattle this off.
So, Aimee Mann's new album @#%&*! Smilers is out. I think maybe the current single is "Freeway"? Soooo, she's doing this YouTube video contest. You can get an mp3 of the instrumental track for "Freeway" off her website, and the contest is submit a video of yourself singing "Freeway.":
"Aimee Mann and SuperEgo Records will pick their favorite entry to be featured on YouTube and www.aimeemann.com. The winner will have an opportunity to sing live with Aimee at one of her upcoming shows. Ten runners-up will receive an autographed copy of Aimee's new CD, @#%&*! Smilers."
I'll admit, I've thought about it. Except that I'm woefully short on time and a camera and the editing software/know-how to pull off what I'd want to do before the deadline. Don't I have better things to do anyway? Like work on myself, and my own music? I probably wouldn't win, so whatever.
Now, after seeing this, I KNOW I wouldn't win. Because this already has "WIN" written all over it. It is, in fact, one of the few things I would say is actually MADE of "win". I mean, who the hell can top a robot?
