Moving on Up... err down: NYC to Philly
So some of you may know that a week ago Steve and I came down to Philly to do a little apartment hunting since we had been looking for almost a month up here in Park Slope, Brooklyn but hadn't had much luck. We hit Philly and in less than 4 hours had found the place of our dreams (for now) in a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment, second story of an old Victorian, in University City.
Now for the fun part. We returned home to Brooklyn last Wedesnday to the realization that we had barely a week in which to pack all our crap and move it. Yah fun! But so far so good.
Now the week is up. I leave tomorrow with the Jeep and Steve's sister in tow and off to our new apartment to claim the keys. Coming in right behind me on Saturday morning is the boyfriend with a whole uhaul trucks worth of stuff. Sadly he has to go right back to NYC after they drop off the furniture because he's got to teach on Sunday at the Student's Art League in Manhattan all day. So I will be having myself a little unpacking party. My main priorities: 1. get the bed put together 2. Get the Studio set up so Steve can get back to work without missing a beat. The rest will all fall together in time.
So that is the plan, feel free to call me on Sunday if you are in the area and want to come and keep me company, other than that, we will be having a apartment warming party at some point in the next few weeks.
