A bit icy
Not that I post very often, but we have been down for two days. Fortunately we were only without power for about 6 hours on Monday. Then yesterday our cable was out -- phone, cable and internet. It was out for the neighborhood, but then when it went back up for the neighborhood my husband realized that some of the cables were ripped clean off the wall outside! He has it working temporarily, and an electrician friend coming to help with getting it reattached.
Lots of the OKC metro is still without power. We drove around last night and there were lots of dark spots for blocks. It was so cold and miserable here the day we didn't have power but at least it was daytime. I can't imagine evenings. Maybe if you had a fireplace and a lot of candles!
So here is my friend's house, around the corner. She has lots of trees. Before the storm there were no branches on the ground.
Our front yard looks similar, but we lost smaller branches. Our back yard fared better. Not too much back there. The house in back of us lost HUGE branches all day long Monday.
