So, I am now a grad student. After many, many years of being adamant that I would never ever go to school again, I'm now doing a Masters. It's just two years and they're all evening classes so I can work and take classes, so it's not really disrupting life other than three days of the week being ridiculously long and me actually having to do ( Read more... )

Thank you so much! Those three days of classes feel kind of tiring, but so far, I've really enjoyed them all. Hopefully that's a theme that continues throughout the two years :D

Tiring but worth it! In the end it will only help out with what you're doing already.

Good luck! I hope grad school will be all you hope, and the investment worth it!

Thank you! Haha, they've already messed up some of the financial aid and given me more money than I asked for, which would have been fine if it didn't also come with a fee, but classes themselves have been good so far. So crossing my fingers that the non-class parts stop being annoying too.

The best of luck with it! My advice, after mumblety mumblety years in grad school, is to make sure you get enough sleep, don't go too overboard on the caffeine, and try to be as kind to yourself as you can. :)

I'm not big on coffee so the caffeine part will be fine, but by the third day of 12 hours of productivity, I was feeling distinctly zombie-like. I have to balance the sleep part a lot better, but hopefully that'll get straightened out as I get used to the new schedule. Thank you!
