I picked happywriter06's wonderful story Thicker than Blood for this year's bigbang. The author's summary:

Missouri!!! *claps like a seal and makes sqeaky noises*

These are all gorgeous, but the cover, especially, fills me with glee. I love the younger versions of Missouri and John, and wee Sammy and Dean are just adorable.

Must go read story now.

Thank you so much! The fic is delightful, I chose the story but I hadn't realized how much I'd missed Missouri till I started reading it :) I'm glad you like the cover, I thought Missouri's resemblance slipped a little, but it does kind of look like it could be a younger version of her too. These pictures were fun to do :)

I hadn't realized how much I missed Missouri till I actually started reading the story :) I'm glad you like the artwork, I'd never drawn her before and I don't know why, because she has lovely features. I'm...not sure what digital paintovers are? Unless um, it means literally painting over a photograph, in which case, no, they're not. I drew them and painted them from scratch (digital drawings), although I did use quite a few reference pictures to get her and John's features and some angles and poses right.

These are absolutely lovely, and make me very intrigued about the fic. Fantastic portrayal of Missouri, in particular; she's not often seen in these art posts. :D

Thank you so much :) Yes, I somehow never got around to ever drawing her. This fic was a really good opportunity especially since she has really arresting features and so was really fun to draw.
