Semester two, here I come!
TODAY WAS THE FIRST DAY OF THE SECOND SEMESTER. A fresh start, and also the first full day of school since last Tuesday, the tenth of january. we had a handful of half days, the weekend, martin luther king day, and TWO snow days.
actually, they were like... rain and ice days. it was raining yesterday. like, middle of the summer raining. the kind where you expect to hear thunder. this is january, and i live in a place where january equals x feet of snow, skiing, hot chocolate, and temperatures below freezing.
Global warming much?
My sister's birthday was this week, and I baked cupcakes and a cake. You see, that midget likes her food sour. Meaning pucker-your-mouth-and-die sour. So I bake this lemon cake, and drench the bottom layer with half a can of lemon concentrate and 3/4 cup of powdered sugar. So I thought that no one would like it much, considering that it was a cake of the untraditional variety. But hey, they <3'ed it. My mum, who usually takes a sliver of a slice, has consumed five pieces. And the next cake event is in June, so they are requesting that I make one for Precious' birthday. Considering the fact that Precious is my baby cousin, it's more than likely a ploy for cake.
Hey. What can I say? Flattered much.
PERFECT SCORE ON ENGLISH MID TERM. That's right. I beat our valedictorian and all my preppy friends who studied their butts off. I crammed, as usual. She, the teach, was handing them out, but she told me that she was keeping mine for a while longer. So I'm sitting there thinking, "um...okay...? what did I do this time?" when she starts reading one of the student produced essays about their favorite literary character from the semester. Then she starts reading the other 'really good essay', which had a 'more personal approach'.
Ileana's like... "um... that's... like, my essay."
So she hands it back and the comment said, "One of the best pieces of writing you've done this semester, this character must have made a big impact on you."
Funny, considering that it's the only thing I've turned in. It was the MID TERM, okay? I wasn't going to blow that one off.
Imagine the things I could do if I tried

And if I couldn't be happier, I got the second highest grade in science, thus pulling my grade up to an A. the teach came over and blessed me. in a comical way, that is.
But then I found out that i totally BlEw my french exam. mmhm. yeah. at least i didn't get a 10 point deduction for a. not having a visual, or b. not staying in the required time.
did I mention that this was an oral presentation? and that I didn't prepare? and that I improvised my speech on the spot? in the french language?
oops.

nil. zero dollars and zero cents. actually, my piano teacher charged me $9.49 for my new Mozart sonata, but my mum covers that.

I'm totally happy with earth. you know, besides that whole global warming thing. now i sound like a tree hugger. hm.

voluntarily? probably when i was a toddler, when my mum liked to say, "Now give Mommy a kiss!"

i like the birdie one, it drives my family nuts because they always forget that it's actually a not... you know, a bird.

i'm wild, abstract, and user friendly. in theory, anyways.

really beat up purple slippers. so bad that you can no longer see any trace of the brand name.

i rarely find myself in a pitch black room. at night, my window supplies sufficient lighting. i do like night lights cuz they came in really pretty shapes, such as mini lava lamps, but none of my outlets can be seen from my bed.

unconcious, due to the fact that i was meditating and resting my body for today's activities, such as taking this quiz.
