HP FanArt: Ian's sketches, G rated
I simply didn't get around to make this post... Hmph!
So. Two weeks ago leogryffin decided to out herself as the author of the original character, Ian Scamander in the_leaky. I'm telling you about this because Ian, among his many other talents and interests, likes to doodle - and at the end of June Leo asked me if I would like to draw sketches to go with Ian's entries now and then. Now, this is one of the most fantastic experiences in my "career" as a fanartist.
You know, collaborating with leogryffin is awesome, it's just like dancing: no need for words, we seem to respond to each other's work, somehow. It's not like anything I've ever tried, and I can't be grateful enough to Leo for this chance and her utterly inspiring, talented writing :)))
So, now that my identity as "Ian's Artist" isn't secret anymore, I can post here the pages from Ian's sketchbook we have so far. Ian's speciality is portraits, and I tried to keep the likeness of the characters or more exactly their avatars. I didn't succeed very well, to be honest, but for the record, the models were Hugh Jackman, Adrien Brody, Dan Kilpatrick, Jason Isaacs, Chris Rankin, Heath Ledger, Matthew McConaughey and Natalia Imbruglia. *g*
